Talents in Lebanon - Artist / Painter: Rudy Chidiac

This is a very old series "Funky Talent" that I started doing in late 2006, there are 3 entries in it only, and now I am going to revive it with a new entry about one of the very popular talents however only few can mesmerize you with their work and keep you looking at them for some while. Thus I am honored and happy to introduce you to Rudy, one of my favorite talents in this world

·     Howold are you? 20
·     When was your first drawing? 7 or 8 or even younger, drawing cartoon characters (Disney)
·     Do you draw from memory? Yes, I don't use reference pictures nor models
·     How do you feel when you draw? When I'm very concentrated about it, I kind of feelhigh, especially if I'm listening to my favorite bands. Maybe dreamy
·     Which are? Cocorosie, This mortal coil, Metallic Falcons
·     What inspires you and do you take a while to decide on it, or does it just come to you?  My ideas come very fast, I write them down soI don’t forget, and when I feel like drawing I chose from the "to-dolist". Sometimes I get ideas from dreams or sometimes when I start a workI see it complete in my dreams it happened with me twice - I even saw one ofthem in motion

Where to go when you visit Lebanon - Site 15 "Qobayat"

And here is a new entry to the Visit Lebanon series. This time, I will be taking you to a village in North Lebanon, in the mountains called Qobayat (official website - but very ugly one - argh).

I've had a friend since we were 10 who used to tell me about it, all I remember was that it's very far (almost 3 hours from Beirut) and that he's obsessed with it. So, a couple of weeks ago, a group of friends decided to go spend a weekend there, I was a bit reluctant at first, but then I decided to jump that wagon. And boy did I not regret it :)

Where to go when you visit Lebanon - Site 14 "Chtaura / Taanayel /Kefraya"

It's been a while since I did an entry on this series. But I am happy that I come to you today with a active, fun and delicious road-trip.

The weather was amazing, not one cloud in the skies, just a couple of days before the spring starts officially, we decided to take advantage and went up towards Bekaa.

Women can't program or understand Math

Arabnet, the Arabnet Digital Summit, that is taking place from 27 to 31 March has released their full agenda for the conference. And I believe it's a great chance for women to participate in.

Here's a small background for you about me, which few people know (or I had the time to tell it). Back in the days - when we used to still call "Sciences Générales" as "Mathelem - Mathematiques Elementaires", which was my pick for my last year in school, few girls actually chose that option. I remember we were only two in my class among 30 other boys. At 17, this is what you call guys!

Where to go when you visit Lebanon - Site 13 "The Grill Room"

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you don't believe me, I just googled it for you.
Eating breakfast may be good for losing weight. People who eat breakfast are more likely to maintain a healthy weight. Some experts believe eating breakfast keeps your metabolism running because skipping meals causes the body to kick into 'starvation' mode.
The way they're presented, is a work of art

But I am not talking about breakfast for diet, hell NO! If you know me, you'd know I am an advocate of eating good food and enjoying every bit till the last piece.

By now, you're probably used to rants and critiques about Lebanon on this blog, nevertheless I do share many nice places you can visit when you're in Lebanon because I care about you, your mental health, your imagination, motivation, health and well-being. So this time, I am choosing a restaurant instead of location for you to visit.

p.s. I am writing this post with no gun in my head, nobody asked me too. I merely fell in love with this restaurant, and I love sharing good stuff, that's my nature.

p.s.s. I am reviewing the breakfast for now, the dinner... will soon follow.

There aren't many breakfast places in Lebanon, of course we have a lot of Mana2ish shops, doughnuts and coffee shops, but we have few dedicated breakfast places. Roadster Diner offers breakfast after 10pm, even though it's good, it's limited. Ristretto is good as well, but I wasn't impressed. I don't get impressed easily... Not until, I went to:
