Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you don't believe me,
I just googled it for you.
Eating breakfast may be good for losing weight. People who eat breakfast are more likely to maintain a healthy weight. Some experts believe eating breakfast keeps your metabolism running because skipping meals causes the body to kick into 'starvation' mode.

But I am not talking about breakfast for diet, hell NO! If you know me, you'd know I am an advocate of eating good food and enjoying every bit till the last piece.
By now, you're probably used to rants and critiques about Lebanon on this blog, nevertheless I do share many nice places you can
visit when you're in Lebanon because I care about you, your mental health, your imagination, motivation, health and well-being. So this time, I am choosing a restaurant instead of location for you to visit.
p.s. I am writing this post with no gun in my head, nobody asked me too. I merely fell in love with this restaurant, and I love sharing good stuff, that's my nature.

There aren't many breakfast places in Lebanon, of course we have a lot of Mana2ish shops, doughnuts and coffee shops, but we have few dedicated breakfast places. Roadster Diner offers breakfast after 10pm, even though it's good, it's limited. Ristretto is good as well, but I wasn't impressed. I don't get impressed easily... Not until, I went to:

Why the Grill Room?
The food
- The options are plenty, and it's open.
- You get both heavens, the Lebanese breakfast & the English one.
- First they serve you with a selection of cheese, a labneh plate (*drools*) and vegetables. You get unlimited supply of coffee and orange juice.

- On the bar, you find a huge selection of Muffins, bread, croissant, salad fruit, fruits, cereals, cake, jam, milk, fruits (I said that didn't I?), yogurts, vegetables...

- Newspapers of course, for the intellectual ones
- Then the hot dishes come running to you. They're not displayed as a buffet, which is awesome because they directly come from the kitchen, fresh, served as you please and ordered to your liking. And the options are various. Omelette, Foul Medammes, Scrambled Eggs, Sausages, Mini Manakish, pancakes...
- The taste is truly mouth-watering. Every single thing I tried there was very delicious, fresh and well made, if it's a fruit, well... well-picked.

The service & hospitality
And that's not it, what makes the breakfast experience in The Grill Room remarkable, is that you're not just at a restaurant, your at a 5 stars hotel's restaurant, the staff there is quite professional, polite and extremely delightful. You will feel like a king or a queen, without the fakeness in it. It's quite charming I assure you to the extent that you feel the positive energy flowing and you know it will stick on you like glue and accompany you throughout the whole day. Much needed right?
The venue
I know it's usually hard for an individual or a even a group of people to march inside a 5 stars hotel and order breakfast, but I highly advise you to do so, in fact they're so reachable & sweet, you can find them on
twitter here. It's probably not practical to do it everyday or every week, but it is quite an exhilarating and refreshing experience to do it at least one a month. Gives you a taste of being on vacation or on a business trip while enjoying your time in a hotel. And well, there is valet parking, you don't need to sweat & swear while searching for a parking spot, if you must insist on parking your car yourself, there are plenty of parking meters spots in the back street of the hotel.
The money
The price is not cheap, it's 53,000LBP (35$), however if you compare to the ordinary breakfast you might get in Ristretto or Roadster Diner where you end up paying around 15$, you're getting much less and choices are limited. In The Grill Room you have an open buffet, a great service, delicious food and a wide variety of it.
