Wearing trousers in Sudan leads to trial and lashes

The trial of a Sudanese woman charged with wearing "indecent" clothing
is due to resume in the capital, Khartoum.

"I want to change this law, because hitting is not human, and also it
does not match with Sharia law," Ms. Hussein told the BBC. She's a
journalist who used to work at the UN but left it in order to lose
immunity from prosecution and be able to proceed with the court.

  1. That's so weird, I went to Khartoum last summer and saw a LOT of Sudanese women wearing trousers and tight jeans...

  2. Yeah I know what you mean, a colleague of mine traveled to Sudan, and wore pants and nothing of that sort happened. I am trying to really get to the story, but there isn't much except what's being sad in these articles.
